Every fact on SexToysDB links to a source, so most mistakes can be checked quickly. If you think we got something wrong, please tell us.

How to report an error

Email {{CORRECTIONS_CONTACT}} with:

  1. the page URL,
  2. the fact you think is wrong, and
  3. a link to a source that shows the correct information, if you have one.
We aim to reply within 7 days. If the source checks out, we fix the page and add an entry to the log below.

What happens when we fix something

  • Factual errors (a wrong FCC ID, manufacturer link, tracker count, policy reading or date): we correct the page, update the “last researched” date, and log the change below with what was wrong and what it says now.
  • A grade changes because of a correction: the app page shows the new grade and notes the old one.
  • Typos and formatting: fixed without a log entry.
  • We don’t silently delete research. If a record turns out to be wrong as a whole, we take it down and log that too.

Right of reply for brands

Before we publish a C, D or F app privacy grade, we email the brand our findings and the evidence behind each one. The brand has **7 days** to respond before the grade goes live.
  • If the brand shows us a fact is wrong (for example, an updated privacy policy or a new app version), we re-check it and correct the audit before publishing.
  • If the brand disagrees but the sourced facts stand, we publish the grade together with the brand’s response, quoted or summarized with their permission.
  • If the brand doesn’t reply within 7 days, we publish and note that we contacted them.
  • Brands can respond at any time after publishing too, by emailing {{CORRECTIONS_CONTACT}}.
